  • We all Need Jesus

Everybody needs to establish a spiritual base for their life

    Everybody needs Jesus!

These are the four things each of us needs to do:

    B – Believe
We must believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for us and showed He was God by coming back to life.
Do you believe that? If yes, then you’re one fourth of the way there already.
That’s why Christians celebrate Easter. Do you believe? Then say, "I believe Jesus was who He said he was – God – and He proved it by coming back to life.”

    A – Accept
We need to accept God’s free forgiveness for the ways we have acted as our own personal god (sin) and separated ourselves from Him.
Would you like to accept that free gift? Who wouldn’t?
If you’ve got this one, you’re half way there. Do you agree, "I have sinned, and I need to accept God’s free forgiveness for my sin”?

    S - Switch
Switch to God’s plan for our life. That means we're going to say, “I’m no longer going to do what I want to do. I'm going to live the plan God made me for. I want to know God’s purpose for life and from now on God’s going to call the shots, not me.”
When we become a Christ follower, we put a sign on our life that says, "Under New Management!" Now we're doing God’s plan for our life. After all, our plan hasn’t worked out too well.
If you’re willing to do this, you’re three quarters of the way there.

    E – Express
Express our desire for Christ to be the leader of our life – the manager. The word in the Bible is Lord.

Are you ready to express that?  If so, make the following your prayer:

“Dear God, I believe you sent your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins so I could be forgiven. I'm sorry for the ways I have separated myself from you, and I want to live the rest of my life the way you want me to. Please put your Spirit in my life to direct me. Amen.”

If you have prayed this prayer, you have just crossed the line of faith and entered into a growing and vibrant relationship with God. You have put your trust in Christ. Even if you don’t understand everything right now, that’s OK. No one understands everything – we’re all on a journey of learning and growing. That’s the purpose of a church family – to help Christ-followers to grow spiritually.
